I had Aleksi customize this card myself, and it has been in my possession ever since. This is a full card customization which allows the artist more flexibility to make the card unique.

The entire card becomes a canvas for the artist from edge-to-edge, as opposed to being limited to the art and text frames. This does render the card not tournament legal, as the name of the card and the casting cost are obscured, but this is not a card you would want to play with anyway!

Aleksi first speckled the card with red and blue highlights, then blacked out most of the card with a black marker to mute these highlights, provide a backdrop for his signature, and make the art stand out more. He used a silver permanent marker for his signature and additional highlighting throughout the card. He then used a white out brush to emphasize and complete the faerie's wings. Finally he amplified the "thought seizing lines" in the artwork by using a razor blade to cut tiny stripes in the surface of the card, exposing the underlying foil material, creating a very unique effect. This version of Thoughtseize is probably the most awesome MTG art in the first place (followed closely by the original Bitterblossom), and the customization takes it to the next level. Even if you're not in the market for a piece like this, I hope you appreciate the total badassness of this card and the work Aleksi put into it - this is definitely the coolest Thoughtseize out there!
